From Al Alam, news that Iran and Gazprom have agreed upon the terms on developing “two or three” blocks of the South Pars field in the Persian Gulf, a deal that further highlights Moscow’s deepening trade and commercial ties with Tehran. In fact, as noted in the article, there may be more oil sector cooperation on the way:
“…a statement posted on the Iranian oil ministry’s Web site said Gazprom was seeking to work with the National Iranian Gas Co. to expand and modernize Iran’s gas network, as well as increase transport possibilities.
However, it also cited Nozari as saying an agreement on a joint company would not be signed for another two months….”
